Driver Lost In Watford Beaten Up

A driver who became lost in Watford after driving up from Harrow has been stopped and beaten up by a gang of four men.

Hertfordshire Police have told Heart it happened sometime between 10.30pm and 11pm on Sunday, March 23rd in the Alexandra Road area.

The victim, 24, who was driving an Alfa Romeo, became lost.

A silver five door saloon stopped abruptly in front of the victims' car and four males got out. They approached the Alfa Romeo before dragging the victim from his car and assaulting him.

They took two phones before getting back in the silver car and making off, leaving the victim with a fractured pelvis and bruising to his face.

The descriptions of two of the offenders include: the driver described as a man in his late 20s who had light coloured skin. He was around 5ft 8ins tall and of a medium build.

The second suspect is described as a white man of around 30 years old who was 5ft 10ins tall. He was of a slightly muscular build, with a bald head and was wearing a blue hooded top and tracksuit.

Detective Constable Solomon Beere is investigating said: "At this stage it is unclear as to the reason why this assault occurred. I would like appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw what happened or perhaps saw the silver car in the area to contact me with information.

I am particularly keen to hear from a man, who has been described as elderly, who went to the victim after the assault to help. If this was you, please call me."
