Police are appealing for witnesses and information after two 17 year old girls had their mobile phones taken during a robbery in Bushey near Watford.

The girls were looking for a missing cat in Mead Way on Friday night, between 8 and 8.30, when they were approached by four males.

They threatened the girls and asked for their mobile phones, which were handed over.

The suspects are described as possibly being Asian.

The first suspect is described as wearing a red bandana over his face and a dark jacket with the hood up.

The second offender was wearing a black balaclava and a dark Barbour jacket.

The third was also wearing a black balaclava but is believed to have a bearded chin and dark skin colour.

There is no description for the fourth man. One is believed to have been carrying a knife with a black handle, approximately eight inches long.

Detective Constable Robert Wood said: "Both girls were unhurt but naturally were very shaken up. We would ask anyone who saw a group of youths behaving suspiciously in the area on that night or who recognises the descriptions to please get in touch."
