Have Your Say On Plans For South Oxhey

Three Rivers District Council have come up with three different plans for the shopping precinct in South Oxhey and want to know what you think.

An open day is being help at Watford Rural Parish Council in Oxhey Drive on Thursday, 15 September.

The options include:

• Stay as we are. Keep the existing buildings and refurbish the facilities.
• Part re-development and part refurbishment of existing buildings.
• Complete re-development.

Council Leader Ann Shaw said: "People have told us that South Oxhey has a strong community and that the precinct is at the heart of that community.

"They have also told us that shopping facilities need updating. The question is how best to do this. What is the best way of providing a good mix of shops and other services that will serve the community’s needs?

"All options must be commercially viable for the long term."

Watford Rural Parish Council is located in Oxhey Drive, WD19 7SB. The open day will run from 10am to 8pm. Free tea and coffee will be provided.
