Man charged after footballer's home robbed

Another man has been charged with the £50,000 burglary of Theo Walcott's family mansion while he was playing in a Champions League match.

Burglars struck at the £3 million luxury home at Feldon near Hemel Hempstead when he was playing for Arsenal in their 2-1 Champions League win over Barcelona on Wednesday, February 16.

A VW Golf Walcott bought for his brother Ashley, jewellery and cash were among the items stolen from the home the England international has bought for his parents Donald and Lynn.

Changaz Khan, aged 28, of Dellfield Road, Chesham, was remanded in custody until March 21 when he will appear before magistrates in Hemel Hempstead.

Last week Kevin Wood, 31, of Shrubhill Road, Hemel Hempstead appeared at St Albans Magistrates Court charged with burglary.
