A man's been jailed for 6 months after pleading guilty to violent disorder in Watford on Tuesday night (August 9th).
33 year old Phil Padon, who is of no fixed address, was arrested in Whippendell Road.
He was charged with violent disorder and appeared in court in Hatfield, where he was also given a two year drink banning order and told not to enter Watford town centre as defined by the ring road.
Detective Superintendent Mark Drew said: “This is swift justice and I am pleased the seriousness of the offence has been recognised and resulted with a prison sentence.
"Thankfully, incidents of disorder across Hertfordshire since the weekend have been kept to a minimum thanks to the determined efforts of officers, PCSO’s, specials and staff and I would like to thank them all for their efforts.
“Let this be a lesson to those who have been involved in incidents of disorder in Hertfordshire that we will be making arrests and charging people.
“I would also like to take this opportunity to thank members of the public who have called in with information about those involved and would appeal again to anyone who can assist our investigations to get in touch with details. No-one involved in these incidents deserves protection. Even if you are a bystander we need to identify who you are.
“Please do remember if you don’t want to give your name you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
