PCC Puts Budget Freeze To Panel In Public

David Lloyd, the Herts Police and Crime Commissioner will present his plans to the Police and Crime Panel this evening.

The panel - which meets in public - will consider the PCC's proposed budget and council tax precept for policing the 2013/14 financial year.

Mr Lloyd will also present an update on the proposed 2013/14 Police and Crime plan.

The Police and Crime Panel properly consider the Commissioner's proposed budget and council tax precept, the Commissioner's report to the panel will include budget papers with analysis and background to the budget and precept.

The panel has to respond to the Commissioner with it's report, and does have the power to veto the precept by the 7th of February.

If all goes to plan, the precept must be given to the billing authorities by the 1st of March.
