Police Hunt Hemel Man

Detectives have released an artist's impression of a man wanted for indecent exposures in Hemel Hempstead in recent months.

A man has approached girls aged between 7 and 12 since May this year.

On some occasions the offender has exposed himself and on two occasions he has assaulted the children. They were not physically injured.

It has happened in Long Chaulden, Chambersbury Lane, Old House Road, Galley Hill and Shrub Hill Common, mostly between 11am and 8pm

Herts police say the offences may be linked as there are a number of common features in the description of the offender. The man has a tanned skin, is aged between 25 and 35, has dark hair and is of a slim build, between 5ft10 and 6ft tall.

Detective Chief Inspector Jon Humphries is leading the investigation and said: "We are very keen to speak with anyone who may recognise this man or may know who he is. We are taking these allegations extremely seriously and have a dedicated team of officers working on this investigation. We would appeal to anyone who has any information about these incidents, recognises the man described or knows who is responsible to contact police. We would also ask that parents speak with their children about how to stay safe particularly with the evenings getting darker."
