Rickmansworth Hit And Run

A man's been charged with attempted murder after a car was deliberately driven at a man in Rickmansworth.

The 27 year old was hit by a dark coloured Astra in Uxbridge Road at 12.15am on Sunday 5 May 2013.  He was left seriously injured and was taken to St Mary's Hospital, Paddington.

The crash happened shortly after a row in the Kebab Centre on Moneyhill Parade.  The victim had been walking on the pavement.  The car was driven off towards Maple Cross.

Nathan Rutter, 19, from Longlees in Maple Cross, was charged with attempted murder and dangerous driving. He was due to appear at Hatfield Remand Court on Bank Holiday Monday 6 May.

Hertfordshire Police have told Heart no further action will be taken against a 23 year old woman arrested in connection with the investigation.
