Teen injured after car crash in Bushey

Hertfordshire Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a road traffic collision on Monday (November 29) where a 16-year-old girl was seriously injured.

It happened at about 12.35pm on The Avenue in Bushey. A man, aged 22, driving a silver Vauxhall Corsa collided with a tree and a brick wall.

The driver was taken to Watford General Hospital and is described as being in a stable condition. His passenger, a 16-year-old girl, was taken to the Royal Free Hospital in London with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

PC Bob Hauxwell, investigating from the Crash Investigation Unit, said: “This was a serious incident where the teenage girl had to be airlifted to hospital.

“It happened at a busy time when people would have been on their lunch breaks and we are keen to speak to any motorists who may have been in the area at the time of the collision or knows anything about it.”
