Watford Head To Wembley

Watford Football Club are on their way to Wembley after securing a place in the Championship Play Off Final.

It means the Hornets are just one win away from a return to the Premier League - something that will be a big economic boost for the club and the wider town.

Watford secured their place with a 3-2 aggregate win over Leicester City in their Championship Play Off Semi Final.

The second leg on Sunday 12 May 2013 saw Watford win 3-1, with the final goal coming in injury time, seconds after a Leicester was saved by Hornets goalkeeper Manuel Almunia.

Watford will play the winners of the other Championship Play Off Semi Final between Brighton and Hove Albion and Crystal Palace.

The Championship Play Off Final will take place at Wembley on Bank Holiday Monday 27 May 2013.
