27 pigeons have been killed in Milton Keynes, after a pigeon loft was deliberately set on fire.

It happened on Wednesday 1st September at about 9.30pm, in the back garden of an address on Crispin Road in Bradville.

The next door neighbour noticed the fire and called the fire brigade, who then contacted the police.

PC Andrew Glover, who's investigating the arson, said:

"The owner has spent the last 20-years breeding and training the pigeons and is extremely upset by what has happened. We believe the person, or people, who did this were aware of what was inside which makes this even more distressing. I would appeal to anyone with information about this incident to contact us."

If you have any information about what happened you can contact PC Glover on 0845 8 505 505 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
