Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after a woman was robbed while pushing her child in a buggy in Milton Keynes on Friday (14/1).
The incident happened at about 10.30am, as the victim, a 22-year-old woman, was pushing her 18-month old daughter in a buggy along the footpath, near the fountain area, in Campbell Park. She heard some rustling in the bushes and then felt someone behind her.
As she turned round she was pushed to the floor and her handbag was snatched from the buggy. The offender then ran off towards the Theatre. The victim did not sustain any injuries but was shaken and distressed.
The offender is in his mid thirties to early forties, between 6ft and 6ft 4ins and smelt strongly of alcohol and body odour. He was wearing a black zipped up hooded jacket with the hood pulled up over his head. The hood was lined with black and white two tone fur. Under the hood he was wearing a cream woollen tea cosy style hat with a dark stain or mark on the right of it. He was also wearing dark trousers and white trainers with a red mark on them. He was carrying a white carrier bag with writing on it.
