A 19-year-old cyclist is in hospital in a serious condition after she was hit by a car in Milton Keynes.

A cyclist is in a serious condition in hospital after being hit by a car in Milton Keynes.

It happened at around 5.51pm yesterday, when a white Fiat 500 was driving along the V7 Saxon Street and then collided with the 19-year-old woman at the junction with Golden Drive.

She suffered serious head injuries.

Paramedics stabilised her at the scene before she was taken to hospital.

The driver of the car, a 22-year-old local woman, was treated for shock.

Police are appealing for witnesses.
