National Lottery operator Camelot have told Heart a Lotto prize worth £264,317, bought in Milton Keynes for a draw in December 2012, has now been claimed.
The ticket was bought for the Lotto draw on Saturday 29 December 2012. The win went unclaimed for more than two months.
Details of the winner's identity have not been revealed, and won't unless they agree to take full publicity.
A National Lottery spokesperson said: “We’re delighted that the winner of this amazing prize has now come forward and we hope that they will enjoy their win.
"It would have been awful if the ticket-holder had missed out on this substantial and life-changing amount of money. We would like to remind all National Lottery players to check their tickets every time they play.”
