Man Jailed For Burglaries

A man from Milton Keynes has been sent to prison for over four years after pleading guilty to a number of burglaries, handling, and drugs offences.

Amir Alvi, aged 22, from Stafford Grove, Shenley Church End, was sentenced to four years at Northampton Crown Court on Friday 25 March after pleading guilty to four burglary offences, three counts of handling stolen goods, and one count of driving whilst disqualified.

He was sentenced for a further seven months at Huntingdon Crown Court on Monday (March 28th), after pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply class B drugs and resisting arrest.

Alvi admitting carrying out four burglaries at properties in Tattenhoe, Willen Park and Woolstone in Milton Keynes on 24 November last year.

Ashley Dean Winter, aged 22, from North Seventh Street, was also sentenced to three years and nine months in prison, for a series of burglaries mainly in Northampton. However he pleaded guilty to one burglary offence at an address in Hanslope.
