Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after an aggravated burglary in Stourhead Gate, Westcroft, Milton Keynes on Thursday night
One of the occupants was forced upstairs at knifepoint to look for money and jewellery and while attempting to escape, he was pushed from the first floor window. He is being treated at Milton Keynes General Hospital with injuries to his legs and back.
Further offenders assaulted other occupants downstairs and all left with a small amount of cash. They fled the scene in what is described as a small black car, possibly a Vauxhall Corsa.
The offenders were all Asian men with their faces concealed by scarves. They are believed to have spoken with a Pakistani accent.
Investigating officer Det Sgt Luke Grove said: “This was a particularly aggressive burglary in the presence of the occupants including young children. We would encourage anyone who saw a group of men in the area behaving suspiciously to contact us. We would also like to speak to anyone who saw a suspicious small black car in the location last night. Incidents such as these are not common and I would like to reassure the public that we are investigating fully and patrols will be in the area to provide reassurance.”
Anyone who witnessed this incident or who has information that may assist the investigation, should contact Det Sgt Luke Grove of Milton Keynes CID on the Thames Valley Police non-emergency number 101.
