Three men from Milton Keynes were sentenced at Huntingdon Crown Court on 27 August to a total of five years and nine months for robberies committed in 2009.

Three men from Milton Keynes were sentenced at Huntingdon Crown Court on 27 August to a total of five years and nine months for robberies committed in 2009.

James Alexander Garforth, aged 20, from Carlina Place, Conniburrow, was sentenced to two years and three months detention in a Young Offenders Institute after he pleaded guilty to three robberies.

Robert Joseph Collinson, aged 22, from Carlina Place, Conniburrow, was sentenced to two years imprisonment after he pleaded guilty to two robberies.

Steven Anthony Randall, aged 19, from Long Road, was sentenced to 18 months detention in a Young Offenders Institute after he pleaded guilty to three robberies.

The sentences are in relation to three robberies which took place on 10 October 2009. The robberies took place in Loughton, Oldbrook and Central Milton Keynes, where the victims were assaulted and had items stolen including mobile phones, wallets and tobacco.

Det Con Wayne Watson, who led the investigation, said: “This show’s it doesn’t matter how long it takes, we will pursue any crime and ensure the people responsible are put before the courts. I am pleased with the sentence given and I hope this sends a warning to any would-be criminals; it doesn’t matter when the offence took place, we will endeavour to ensure you are put before the courts where you could face imprisonment.”
