More than 10 years after a teenager was left disabled after a screwdriver attack outside a pub, and 18 months after he died, police have charged a man with murdering him.

19-year-old Jonathan Barton suffered serious head injuries outside a pub in Mount Farm in Milton Keynes in the year 2000, and died in July 2009.

Following Mr Barton's death the police investigation was re-opened.

31-year-old Leigh Clift, from Lincolnshire Close in Bletchley, was charged yesterday (Thursday) evening. He's been remanded in custody and will appear at Luton Crown Court on Monday.
