A 19 year old's won the 2013 Olney Pancake Race, which claims to be the world's oldest.

Devon Byrne was one of twenty women who ran four hundred metres through Olney, Milton Keynes on Shrove Tuesday in the race that dates its history back to 1445.

It's in honour of a housewife who was late for the Shrove Tuesday service and ended up running to church still in her kitchen gear.

Competitors have to be women over the age of 18 who have lived in Olney for at least three months.  Competitors dress in the traditional outfits of a housewife with an apron and a headscarf.  They have to carry a frying pan with a pancake in, which they have to toss twice - once at the start and once at the finish.

Devon Byrne is a member of Milton Keynes Athletic Club.
