Police investigating how a woman was sexually assaulted at home in Milton Keynes by a man who got in while she was asleep, have charged a 21 year old.
The attack happened between 7am and 8am on Sunday 1 July 2012 at the woman's home in the Bradville area. Detectives think a door at the woman's home had been left unlocked.
David Billington, from Angel Close, Pennyland, Milton Keynes, has been charged with two counts of rape and one count of actual bodily harm.
He was remanded in custody and was due to appear before Milton Keynes Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 4 July.
Det Insp Nick Glister, from Thames Valley Police CID in Milton Keynes, said: "We are fully supporting the victim, who has been through an extremely distressing ordeal in her own home.
“While incidents such as this are rare, it is prudent to re-iterate how important it is to keep doors and windows secure at night, even during the warmer summer weather and especially on the ground floor."
