Thousands Hit The Streets Of MK For Marathon

The Milton Keynes marathon is taking place today - and for the first time - event organisers have also laid on a HALF-marathon.

The main race starts at 10 this morning taking in some of the Central Milton Keynes "V and H" roads including Saxon Street - the road closures can be found below.

The finish line will be inside Stadium MK.

Road closures
 

  • V7 Saxon Street (From its junction with H6 Childs Way to its junction with H10 Bletcham Way) 6.00am to 7.00pm
  • V8 Marlborough Street (From its junction with Aldenham, Tinkers Bridge to its junction with Newington Gate, Ashlands) 10.30am to 1.00pm
  • H6 Childs Way (From its junction with Witan Gate, CMK to its junction with Secklow Gate, CMK)  9.30am to 12.30pm
    H7 Chaffron Way (From its junction with Rainbow Drive, Leadenhall to its junction with Harrier Drive, Eaglestone) 9.30am to 1.30pm
  • H8 Standing Way (From its junction with Medale Road, Beanhill to its junction with Hospital Roundabout) 9.30am to 1.00pm
  • H9 Groveway (From its junction with Redmoor Roundabout to its junction with V10 Brickhill Street) Please be advised that access to Thornbury, West Ashland will be maintained throughout this closure.  9.30am to 2.30pm
