An 81 year old great grandfather will today be bench-pressing more than eighty kilos at the World Powerlifting Championships in Glasgow
Ted Brown from Bletchley in Milton Keynes has been a power lifter most of his life. He now trains at Body Works gym in Bletchley with his 72 year old training partner.
He's spent the last 8 weeks preparing for todays competition where he will be going for gold and a world title in bench pressing, squatting and deadlifting.
Ted says people do wonder why he still power lifts at his age but he says he will carry on doing it while he can.
The pensioner already holds British records and Commonwealth titles but says he's hoping after today he can hold a World title as well.
