A11 Crash This Morning "Fatal"

Police have told Heart they remain at the scene of a two vehicle road traffic collision on the A11 at Barton Mills, where a man has sadly died.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the collision just north of Fiveways on the A11 at approximately 1.45am this morning (Monday) with a report that two vehicles had been in collision and one car was on fire.

A male driver of one of the vehicles sadly died at the scene and a further man in the second vehicle was taken to West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds with minor injuries.

A stretch of the A11 road, north of Fiveways at Barton Mills is currently closed and diversions are in place whilst repairs are carried out to the road surface and a collision investigation takes place.
