Three people have died after a lorry and a car crashed on the A47 at East Winch in Norfolk.

The road is still shut following the crash which happened near to the Carpenter’s Arms pub at around 11.15am this morning (26th March).

Three people in the car were pronounced dead at the scene, the driver of the lorry suffered minor injuries.

The A47 is closed between the Hardwick roundabout in King’s Lynn and Swaffham whilst a collision investigation gets underway and the vehicles are recovered. It's expected to remain closed for several hours.

Two diversions are in place – large vehicles are advised to take the A10, A134 and A1122 to avoid the area. There is also a route for smaller vehicles set up via the A149 from King's Lynn towards Hunstanton.
