Armed Police Surround House

Heart's being told armed police are still surrounding a house.

Officers from Norfolk Police were called to Badger Road in New Costessey, Norwich after a call from the member of the public just before 9am yesterday morning.

Specialist trained officers have cordoned off an area around the property and police negotiators are also on scene.

Police say the safety of residents in the Badger Road area is their priority and they are hoping to resolve the incident as soon as possible.

Members of the local Safer Neighbourhood Team have been patrolling the area to provide reassurance to the local community.
