Copdock: Cyclist Dies In Collision

A man has died following a road collision which happened yesterday in Copdock, near Ipswich.

A male cyclist, said to be in his 60's, died in a road traffic collision which took place on the southbound carriageway of Old London Road.

Emergency services were called to the carriageway at around 2:30pm yesterday afternoon.

The man was taken to Ipswich hospital with fatal head injuries from the collision with a Citroen, but died later that evening.

Police officers closed the section of the road while dealing with the investigation of the collision, but reopened around 5pm.
