Dereham: Man Dies After Crash On A47

A man's died after a crash on the A47 between Dereham and Scarning this afternoon.

A car and a lorry collided.  The driver of a silver Ford Focus, died at the scene.

The road has been closed in both directions between Scarning and Dereham to allow emergency services to carry out their investigations.

The driver of the 7.5 tonne lorry has been taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for treatment.

The road is likely to remain closed for some time.

Roads policing officers would like to hear from anyone who believes they may have witnessed the collision. Witnesses are asked to call Insp Chris Brooks at the Serious Collision Investigation Team (SCIT) at Norfolk Constabulary on 101.
