Police have released an e-fit image of a rogue trader in Bury St Edmunds after they caused £1,000 of damage to a house.
It happened last Monday at around 11am at a house in Rembrandt Way.
Three men arrived at the house in a white transit van offering roofing services to the homeowner.
The resident was asked to come outside and examine the roof, at which point one of the other men was moving the chimney stack around, pulling bricks out and putting them back in. They caused around £1,000 of damage.
The men then offered to repair the chimney for a cash deal, which the homeowner declined.
The three men, who were all white, are described as follows: Man 1 - aged around 25-years-old, 5ft 4in tall, of stock build, with short blonde/brown hair, and wearing a grey t-shirt; Man 2 - aged in his 50s, around 5ft 8in tall, of stock build, with dark hair in a ponytail, and wearing a light blue t-shirt; Man 3 - aged around 18-years-old, 6ft tall, of thin build, with short dark hair.
Anyone that recognises the man from the e-fit or that has any information is asked to contact Bury East/West Safer Neighbourhood Team on 101 quoting reference BU/14/2199, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
