Police have confirmed that the body of a man has been removed from the River Waveney today.

Police can confirm that the body of a man has been removed from the River Waveney in Norfolk today, Monday 22 October 2012.

Police were called to the river at Aldeby at 9.45am to reports of a body in the river. Police, fire and ambulance all attended and the body was removed from the water at Burgh St Peter.

It is believed that it is the body of a male in his 30s. The death is not being treated as suspicious and the coroner has been informed. Officers are working to formally identify the deceased and notify next of kin.
