Elveden: Four in Hospital After A11 Crash

Two cars were involved in a collision on the A11 crossroads at Elveden on Saturday afternoon.

It happened at around 2.25pm Saturday 5 January and involved a Toyota and a VW car, with Police, Fire and Ambulance attending the scene.

The driver of the VW, a 29-year-old man from Coventry has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking. The man is currently being held at West Suffolk Hospital.

One of the rear seat passengers of the Toyota suffered leg injuries and has been taken to Addenbrookes, another rear seat passenger has arm and shoulder injuries and has been taken to West Suffolk Hospital. 

A front seat passenger has sustained arm and pelvic injuries and has been taken by air ambulance to the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital. The driver has sustained leg and facial injuries and taken to West Suffolk Hospital.

The road had to be closed while recovery took place.

Police are asking witnesses to call the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 101.
