Police were called to a property on Albion Road yesterday morning to reports of a double assault.
One of the two victims said they'd been attacked in their property on Saturday night at about 7pm.
The other male, aged 55, has been taken to Addenbrookes hospital for treatment for serious head injuries. He is described as being in a critical condition and is receiving treatment. The other male, aged 62, had cuts to his head but was not taken to hospital.
A cordon remains in place on the premises as investigations, including forensic enquiries, continue. There are currently no descriptions of any other individuals, or how many, that may have been involved. Enquiries are ongoing to establish exactly what happened at the property.
