Suffolk police are appealing for help to trace a Hollesley Bay prisoner who failed to return to a work placement yesterday.
Police were contacted at 5pm yesterday with reports that 53-year-old Leslie Gall who is serving a life sentence for robbery, had not returned to his work placement at a charity shop in Manningtree in Essex after lunch. He had not been seen since 12.45pm.
Gall is described as white, 5 foot 10 inches tall, of slim build, with grey hair, blue eyes and has a tattoo of a cross on his forehead. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a grey zipped jumper, black trainers, a beige hat and a dark and light blue jacket.
He has connections to the Arbroath area of Scotland as well as Hadleigh in Suffolk.
Police are asking anyone who may have seen him or anyone with information about where he is now to contact them. You should not approach him or take any further action.
