Ipswich: Company To Appear In Court Over River Orwell Oil Spill

Nearly a dozen swans had to be rescued when oil was spilled into the River Orwell.
Eco Oil Ltd are due to appear in Ipswich Magistrates Court on 1st April after oil was spilled into the River Orwell in July of 2012.
11 swans had to be rescued from the oil, one of which died. At the time, the Enviornmental Agency said they would consider whether or not to prosecute Eco Oil Ltd, for water pollution and a breach of permit.
