Police say they've recaptured a convicted kidnapper who'd escaped from prison in Suffolk.
Daniel Best, aged 25, was serving an indeterminate sentence for kidnap and was found to be missing when he was not present for roll call at his Hollesley Bay cell at 7:50pm, on Friday 5 June.
He had been confirmed as present at 5pm.
Since he went missing police made a number of enquiries to trace him, including visiting local addresses linked to him, asking other Constabularies to carry out checks, listing him as an absconder on the Police National Computer and speaking to individuals who he has had previous contact with.
And after a week of searching he was found by officers in Ipswich yesterday.
Police have told Heart: "A Hollesley Bay prisoner who absconded on Friday 5 July has been recaptured by Suffolk Police.
Twenty-five-year-old Daniel Best was arrested in Ipswich today, Saturday 13 July 2013. He is currently in police custody and will now be returned to the prison system."
