Ipswich: Man Arrested Over Jewellery Shop Burglary

A 49-year-old man has been arrested after a jewellery shop in Ipswich was broken into this morning.
Police responded to an alarm at a building on Buttermarket Lane at around 3.30am this morning. Offenders had forced a shutter and smashed a window before stealing jewellery from inside.
Officers contacted CCTV operators and a man was found near the scene and arrested on suspicion of burglary.
The man, from Ipswich is at Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
Police are still at the scene this morning and are actively seeking to identify and arrest another man seen in the area who may have been involved in the burglary.
The amount of jewellery that may have been stolen isn't known.

UPDATE 13th March
A 49-year-old man has been released on police bail pending further enquiries and must return to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre on Thursday 15th May.
