Police are hunting for a Suffolk sex offender who's gone missing.
Shane Barnbrook, 28, was released from a prison in Suffolk on Friday, August 30 but breached the terms of his licence by failing to comply with a ruling that he must live at a hostel in Ipswich.
He is now thought to be in south Essex.
Barnbrook, formerly from the Basildon and Grays areas, was jailed in April 2013 for breaching a suspended sentence order in connection with previous offences including theft and burglary.
He was also put on the Sex Offender Register for ten years in 2010 for an offence the previous year.
Officers are searching the Basildon and Thurrock districts where Barnbrook has friends and relatives.
But they've told Heart he is known to be violent and should not be approached by any members of the public - instead anyone who sees him is being urged to call 999.
