Suffolk Police are appealing for the driver of a vehicle to come forward after he approached two teenagers in Kesgrave.
The van driver spoke to two 13-year-old girls in Bell Lane in Kesgrave around 12.30pm on Wednesday 10 April.
The two girls were walking along the road towards Penzance Road, with Foxhall Road behind them, when a white Transit tipper-style van slowed down alongside them. The driver – described as being black or of mixed race, aged in his 20s to 30s and wearing a fluorescent vest – wound down his window and asked if they were OK. Both girls ignored him and continued to walk.
The vehicle was driven away but was then seen to turn around and come back towards them. The driver then asked them if they needed a lift. The teenagers continued to ignore him and he drove alongside them for a few moments before driving away.
Police need to trace the man and are asking him or anyone with information about who he is to call PC 1640 Jones on 101.
