A man and a woman have been arrested after a device was found on a cashpoint machine in Lowestoft this morning.
Police were contacted just after 10am by a member of the public who had noticed suspicious activity at a ATM in Westwood Avenue.
She reported a man and a woman were watching people trying to get money out of the machine and that customers were unable to get the cash as there appeared to be something on the machine.
Officers immediately attended and a short time later located and arrested the two – a 32-year-old man from east London and a 35-year-old woman from Ilford in Essex.
Both are currently in custody at Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre where they will be interviewed by officers.
