Police have traced the next of kin of a man who died off the coast of Lowestoft last Monday (10th March).
He was initially named as Peter Chambers after some of his documents were found and police spoke to friends who formally identified him by that name.
However, following more checks the coroners officer has now determined that his birth name was Peter Sims and family members have been found in the Driffield area of east Yorkshire.
Mr Sims was pronounced dead after he was pulled from the water on Monday afternoon. His boat had capsized and two other men who were fishing with him are still missing.
A post mortem has given his cause of death as drowning and further tests are being carried out.
Police are thanking the media here and in Yorkshire for their help and an inquest into his death will be held in due course.
