A man was taken to hospital after a car collided with a house in Lowestoft. And startling pictures of the incident like this one, have gone around the world on Twitter.
Emergency services were called to the scene in Long Meadow Walk at around 1:45am on Sunday, where an Audi TT had left the road and crashed into a house.
A man, believed to be in his twenties, was found trapped in the vehicle and the road was closed while he was freed. He was then taken to James Paget Hospital with serious head injuries but has since been transferred to Addenbrooke’s Hospital where he remains this morning.
Structural engineers have been called to attend the property but no one inside was injured.
The road has now been reopened.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the incident or the Audi driving prior to the collision to call the Serious Collisions Investigation Team on 101.
