Lowestoft: Man Meets Life-Savers After Heart Attack
8 May 2013, 05:00
A man who collapsed in a car park in Lowestoft has thanked the passerby and GP who saved his life.
John Benson had a heart attack a few weeks ago as he walked to the doctors surgery.
He collapsed metres from the door and was given CPR and shocked with a defibrillator.
Now he's met the people who came to his aid. Walter Lloyd-Smith was first on the scene and started CPR when Mr Benson's heart stopped.
The GP Kausar Khan then brought a defibrillator out and restarted Mr Benson's heart.
He's since had an operation at the Norfolk and Norwich hospital and is on his way to making a full recovery.
John Benson meets the team from Oulton Medical Centre who saved his life.
