A former Crown Prosecution Service manager has been found not guilty of killing his wife in Norfolk.

67-year-old Warren Goring had denied murder at Chelmsford Crown Court after his wife 63-year-old Shirley Goring was found dead by a bailiff at their home in All Saints Way in Mundesley on February 18th.

A jury returned a verdict of not guilty after one and a half hours of deliberation.

Goring accepted he was responsible for killing his wife but said he did not intend to and he does not recall the incident.

He had already pleaded guilty to manslaughter and will be sentenced on October 7th. He was remanded in custody.
