Norfolk police say it is still a complete mystery what has happened to Polish woman who gave birth at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and then disappeared
It is now over a month since Agnieszka Marciniaki was last seen leaving the hospital after giving birth to a healthy baby girl who has been called Anya.
She left the hospital at 11.30am on Saturday 30 January 2010 and told medics she was going home to collect some of her possessions.
Police have visited the address she left with the hospital and made enquiries in her native Poland but still have no leads.
Agnieshka is described as white with a round face and short dark hair and has a good grasp of the English language. She arrived in the UK from Poland in the last week of January and it was believed she has connections with friends in the Lakenham and Tuckswood area of Norwich.
Inspector James Brown who continues to lead the investigation said:
“We are remain very concerned regarding the welfare of Agnieshka and we are still trying to locate her.
"I am once again appealing to anyone who knows Agnieszka or anyone who thinks they may have seen her to contact us. I also appeal to Agnieszka herself to return and see her baby. I would stress that she is not in trouble and can return without fear that she will be arrested.
Anyone with any information into Agnieshka’s whereabouts should call Inspector Brown on 0845 456 4567.
