Norfolk: 17 Arrested After Drugs Raid

17 people have been arrested with 13 of those being charged by police after drugs raids this week.

Norfolk Constabulary officers carried out a number of early morning raids this week in Norwich and London as part of a crackdown on the supply of Class A drugs.

The action by detectives from the Specialist Operations Unit follows a three month investigation in the supply routes of crack cocaine and heroin from London to Norwich.

Police arrested 17 people as a result of the raids and a large quantity of Class A drugs has been recovered.  Warrants were carried out at addresses in Wellington Green, Langley Walk, West Pottergate, Haslips Close, William Kett Close, Aylsham Road, Springbank, Reepham Road, Lefroy Road and Lark Rise in Mulbarton.

Thirteen people have now been charged with offences and four people have been released on bail.

The charges are as follows:

        Mark Wheatland, 46, of Aylsham Road, Norwich, two counts of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs

        Andrew Blanch, 33 of William Kett Close, Norwich, two counts of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs

        Lee Savage, 36, of Haslips Close, Norwich, two counts of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs

        Neil Jacobs, 43, of Wellington Green, Norwich, one count of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs

        Mark Buxton, 43, Wellington Green, Norwich, one count of possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply

        Richard Hollings, 47, of Lefroy Road, Norwich, one count of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs

        Maria Kuta, 35, of Springbank, Norwich, one count of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs

        James Elston, 30, of Reepham Road, Norwich, two counts of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs

        Gideon Nation, 27, of Welland House, Peckham Rye, London, two counts of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs

        Saul Wooderson, 31, of Lark Rise, Mulbarton, one count of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs

        Ryan Lasky, 23, of Philadelphia Lane, Norwich, one count of possession of a Class A dug

        Guy Yapi, 21, of Radbourne Crescent, Walthamstow, London, two counts of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs

        Nathan Pauley, 23, of Cadogan Terrace, Hackney, London, one count of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs

 

All have been remanded in custody and will appear at Norwich Magistrates Court on Monday 14 November.

Three men and one woman arrested in Norwich in connection with the investigation have been released on bail while police continue with their enquiries.
