The body of a man, recovered from the Norfolk Broads at the weekend, has today (Thursday 6 September 2012) been formally identified.

A Home Office post mortem carried out on Monday 4 September 2012 revealed that John Didier, aged 41, a US citizen who had been living in Mitcham, Surrey, died through drowning.

On Tuesday 5 September 2012 the body of a woman also recovered from the Broads was named as Annette Creegan, who was 49 and also from Mitcham. A Home Office post mortem revealed she is likely to have died as a result of strangulation.
