Norfolk: Queen's Sandringham Garden Party

A mum from Dereham in Norfolk is off to a Royal garden party at Sandringham today.

Liz Voysey has been asked to go to Sandringham for a garden party, after the work she's done campaigning for road safety and with people who've lost someone in a road crash.

Its after her 19 year old daughter Amy was killed by a speeding driver on The A47 in North Tuddenham in 2004.

Liz will be going to the Queen's Norfolk home in June with her co-campaigner Bridget Wall, and says she has mixed emotions.

"We were initially contacted in January of this year as we had been nominated because of the service we are seen to provide to the community with our work with RoadPeace, Brake and independently in the name of Road Safety and that we represent others who have been tragically bereaved by road death.

"We are most humbled by this invite and take very seriously, that although Bridget and I will be attending we will be there for the 1,000’s of innocent victims who are needlessly killed on our roads every year and for the bereaved families who left behind, devastated, confused and bereft."
