Norwich: Plane Makes Emergency Landing At Norwich Airport

A plane's made an emergency landing at Norwich Airport after someone on board became ill.

They've been taken to the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital and the Edinburgh to Milan flight continued its journey.

easyJet have told Heart: “easyJet can confirm that flight EZY2686 flying from Edinburgh to Milan which departed at 10:20am this morning diverted to Norwich Airport due to a medical issue onboard.
 
“The safety of our passengers and crew is always easyJet’s priority and the Captain made the correct decision to divert to ensure that further medical attention could be sought.
 
“The aircraft departed Norwich at 12:21 for its onward flight to Milan Malpensa Airport”
