Police investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a woman’s body in the River Yare, close to Whitlingham Broad, in Norwich this morning have now identified her.
The woman was found by a member of the public at around 8:10am and both police officers and Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service personnel attended to recover her body.
Police believe, at this time, there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death. Next of kin have still to be informed of the discovery of the body.
