Norwich: Car Ram Raids Golf Club

Police are questioning a man in Norwich after a car smashed through the front doors of a golf club.

Police were called to the Royal Norwich Golf Club on Drayton High Road shortly before 3am this morning after the alarm had been activated.

Officers a found a silver Vauxhall Vectra had been crashed into the door of a building. Damage has been caused to the door although it is not believed anything has been stolen.

A 33-year-old man was arrested near the scene and remains in custody at Aylsham Police Investigation Centre where he will be questioned.

Police would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or noticed anything suspicious in the area around the times stated.
