Norwich: Eight Appear In Court Accused Of 76 Sex Offences

Four men and four women have appeared at court in Norwich charged with a total of 76 sexual offences against children.
The defendants, who can't be named for legal reasons, appeared at Norwich Magistrates’ Court and are accused of a total of offences including rape, sexual assault, inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child and of assault.
The offences relate to five children aged under 13 and are alleged to have taken place in Norwich or Romford between 2004 and 2010.
The defendants, three men and four women from Norwich and a man from Romford, who range in age from 31 to 63, will next appear at Norwich Crown Court on Thursday 27 February.
They were bailed with conditions not to contact, directly or indirectly, the alleged victims or named witnesses, to reside at their home addresses, or notify police of any change, and not to apply for foreign travel documents.
